Upcoming features

This page lists some features and updates currently under development. These are not included in the public Wandora release yet. Current Wandora features are here. You can expect upcoming features and updates to be released within few months. See also Change log for latest changes in Wandora. Upcoming features and updates are:

• Processing.org integration. Upcoming Processing topic panel allows Wandora user to execute Processing scripts against current topic in Wandora.
• Oma kaupunki event and service extractor. Oma kaupunki is a Helsinki city based news, events and service portal. Wandora extractor allows user to extract local event and service information.
• Treemapping topic panel.
• R topic panel. Addition to R console released earlier Wandora will be featuring an R topic panel which basically lets you run R scripts against current topic.

Nice to have features

These features are here to give you a glimpse to ideas floating around Wandora development team:

• Face.com extractor: Give Wandora an image, a subject locator for example, and Wandora recognizes who is in the image, creates a topic for the person and associates created person topic to the image topic.
• Twitter API extractor
• Occurrence import/export to an internet text storage service
• OCR extractor: Give Wandora an image and Wandora extracts text in the image.
