Gellish, also known as STEPlib, is a controlled vocabulary used especially in engineering. Gellish is a structured subset of natural language. Gellish language contains RDF-alike triplets also called facts. Each fact has a left-hand-concept, a relation, and a right-hand-concept. For example a fact is

<design book> <is a specialization of> <report>

Addition to the concepts and relation type, a fact has usually

  • a dicipline,
  • a definition,
  • date of creation and date of modification,
  • a signature (originator)
  • a reference
  • and a status
